John and I met through Jerry Jeff so many years ago. I'm excited to be a part of this project, led by John with lots of great grooves and plenty of improvisation. No two alike!
After 6 months of playing in this Walt Wilkins-led group, I'm still the new guy. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Various cast members drawn from a rich reservoir of talent rotate in and out each week. I'm still playing songs I've never heard. This reminds me of very early shows I saw of Michael Murphy, with Bob Livingston, Gary Nunn, Craig Hillis...almost spiritual. Out In The Alleys Of Austin, indeed.

I'll be singing my stuff during the International Folk Alliance Conference, this evening in the Wine & Nut Room hosted by Will Sexton and Charlie Faye. The conference is best described as a musical all you can eat buffet or maybe speed dating.
